Hospital Kitchen – Manager Responsibilities:
- Manager and oversees the everyday food production for the patient menus and meals.
- Consistent and proper food production, maintenance of appropriate par levels, kitchen sanitation, ensuring appropriate maintenance of kitchen equipment, maintaining a product book, completing work schedules and operating the kitchen within budgetary guidelines.
- Position requires strong administrative, supervisory skills directing the kitchen staff's daily functions and menus.
- Hiring and training new staff, performance evaluations including disciplinary actions as needed, staff scheduling, menu development.
- Assists in overseeing all aspect of kitchen operations. Maintains current with, understands and ensures unit compliance with all hospital policies and procedures and safety guidelines.
- Ensures adherence to all systems, procedures and policies. Contributes to the creation, maintenance and implementation off all unit SOP in coordination with Hospitality Management.
- Assists with maintaining costs for food, beverage and labor within established budgetary guidelines and ensures unit generates revenue. Requirements:
- Male/Female, Max 35 years old. ,
- Bachelor or Diploma Degree in Food & Beverage Service Management / Hospitality Industry / Tourism Management.
- Preferably Managers specializing in Food/Beverage/Restaurant/Hospital services or equivalent.
- Must have excellent food service standards and excellent knowledge of service standard, menu planning and pricing procedures. ,
- Familiar with diet menus and good knowledge about good & balanced healthy nutritional composition for patients.
- Self-discipline, initiative and leadership ability.
- Pleasant, polite manner and a neat and a clean appearance.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, with a positive attitude and a proactive approach to work.
- Ability to handle complains in a positive, professional, timely manner.
- Ability to motivate employees to work as a team to ensure that food and service meet appropriate standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Result oriented with high achievement standard. Good analytical skill, meticulous and able to think creatively.
- Fast learner, able to work under pressure and must be a team player.
- Have good leadership.
