Mobile phone technology had a great year in 2009, a year
full of exciting new technological advances. New makes and
models, new applications and features, new looks and feel
stalked the shelves. But they left the shelf just as fast as
consumers hit record buying in 2009 for mobile phones.
Much anticipated, much awaited are the new technology, the
new advancements that are coming soon. Progress is here. It
is already in use. And prices are being cut as the
competition rises.
The mobile phone giants, Nokia, HTC, Samsung, and Sony
Ericsson lead the market with these new launches in mobile
phone technology. But they are not the only businesses to
see the potential of the cellphone market. Network providers
too have forseen the potential. Providers such as the United
Kingdoms o2 and Vodafone have climbed aboard for the ride.
They are offering consumers lucrative package deals that
have highly attractive gifts to give them an edge over other
mobile phone providers.
This competitive market makes for an excellent playground, a
smorgasbord of options for the consumer. It is a consumer
swindle on steroids. Options, options, and even more options
will be prevalent in 2010 for mobile phone users. Consumers
will have wider options, lower prices, and in some instances
free will be a factor.
Mobile phones are going to incorporate new applications that
spread over a wide variety of technologies such as video
conferencing, Wi-Fi application services, video blogging
capabilities, all set upon strong, firm, powerful 3G
networks.
Also, new designs in mobile hardware add the perfect
combination, the perfect setup for a complete mobile
experience. Users will put look and feel of their phones up
their with the price of the phone and network usage.
Nowadays, a mobile phones color and shape can make or break
a deal with consumers. Price is also taking a lead into
consumer decision. Because of this the price of the mobile
phone is taken into consideration along with the deal
provided by mobile phone network companies. Consumers now
have a choice and can find a mobile phone package that suits
their individual needs along with their wants.
Another important feature not to be overlooked, music.
Mobile phones are now capable of interpreting multiple file
formats such as MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC, and M4A. This has opened
the door to new innovation, technology, and design in mobile
phones. Video also can be played in WMV, MP4 and 3GP file
formats. Consumers can listen to the radio, download and
play their favorite songs, or kick back and enjoy the show.
This new medium boasts never before seen levels of memory
which to date can be as much as 16GB with the aid of microSD
cards.
